Lunchtime Talk | Ted Richey: aboard sailing ketch Lenna

Event Dates
Event/Exhibition location
Royal Society Room, TMAG, 12:00pm

Join us to hear from Ted Richey about one of Tasmania's last sailing ketches, the Lenna, and its last day under sail in April 1961. He was only nineteen at the time and took his camera along to capture photos from the journey across Bass Strait which he'll share with us.

Ted will also bring along the 100-year-old 'Cock of the Derwent': the copper rooster that sat on top of the mast of the fastest sailing barge on the river at the Hobart Regatta.

Lastly, Ted's got some important news to share with us, and we can't wait to hear from him.

Our Lunchtime Talks series is supported by Arts Tasmania.
