Lunchtime Talk | James Brook, Sea Shepherd
Join us on Tuesday October 1 for our latest Lunchtime Talk with James Brook from Sea Shepherd's Allankay.
Sea Shepherd is an international, non-profit, marine conservation organisation that engages in direct action campaigns to defend wildlife and conserve and protect the worlds ocean from illegal exploitation and environmental destruction. Sea Shepherd was founded in 1977 with the Australian branch of Sea Shepherd beginning in 2007.
One of Sea Shepherd's ships, the Allankay, is docked in Hobart undergoing a refit this spring.
Captain of the Allankay, James Brook, will be telling us of his 15 years at sea with Sea Shepherd on campaigns all over the world - his recent work includes doing fisheries patrols in Tuvalau and an anti-krill fishing campaign in Antarctica.
