Join Sarah Segal-Lazar, Folk Canada’s 2024 Recording Artist of the Year nominee & acclaimed sea shanty chanteuse, for a special solo event.

Featuring traditional sea shanties from around the world alongside original maritime-inspired songs, Sarah brings powerful vocals, sharp wit and warm storytelling to the stage. Her performances draw deeply on maritime history and lived experience, making the Museum a fitting and atmospheric setting for this intimate live show.

Sarah Segal-Lazar will be in Tasmania as part of her Australian tour, appearing at the acclaimed Cygnet Folk Festival. Maritime Museum Tasmania is pleased to present this special Hobart performance while she is in the state, offering local audiences a rare opportunity to see an international artist in an intimate setting.

Sarah is known for her unforgettable voice and commanding presence. Her debut album VALLEYS received national airplay across CBC and SiriusXM, and she has toured widely across Canada, appearing at major folk and sea shanty festivals.
