The coastal freighter MV Blythe Star foundered off south-western Tasmania in October 1973, leading to the largest maritime search operation conducted in Australia to that time. Tragically, three men lost their lives.
Look back with us at a collection of images and artefacts from the Blythe Star, as we remember the incident's enduring legacy, and the courage of the crew involved.
