Planning your school visit

Our museum is staffed almost entirely by volunteers many of whom are in the 'at risk' demographic. In order to avoid exposing our volunteers to unnecessary risk the museum will remain closed to the public until Wednesday 1 July 2020, or as per government advice.

We welcome provisonal bookings, using the form below, for dates beyond 1 July 2020. We will respond by email or phone as soon as we can.

Thank you for your understanding of this situation.

To make an enquiry or to book your tour you can telephone the museum Monday to Friday 0900 - 1500 on (03) 6234 1427 or you can complete the on-line booking form below or fax/ post a completed PDF form.

The museum is wheelchair accessible and coach parking is available outside the museum on Argyle Street.  Due to space restrictions within the galleries the museum asks that schools limit the size of each group visiting to one class (20 to 25 pupils) at a time, so pre booking a fortnight in advance is essential.

To best support your students, we ask that for primary aged groups teachers have a minimum ratio of 1 adult to 5 children. Expect a visit to take about forty-five minutes.

What should we bring?

Printable recording sheets  (if choosing A Voyage into the Past education program)

Note paper

Greylead pencils
