Planning your school visit

The museum is currently ungoing redevelopment of its permanent galleries. Capacity and learning opportunities are therefore limited. Please contact the museum to discuss you visit requirements by emailing admin@maritimetas.org or by phone on 6234 1427 Monday to Friday (0900 - 1500).  Or you can complete the on-line booking form below or fax/ post a completed PDF form.

The museum is wheelchair accessible and coach parking is available outside the museum on Argyle Street.  

To best support your students, we ask that for primary aged groups teachers have a minimum ratio of 1 adult to 5 children. Expect a visit to take about forty-five minutes.

More information:

  • Sessions are usually around forty five minutes
  • Please keep groups to around 20 as space in the museum is limited
  • Cost is usually $60.00 per class/ group or $3.00 per child, whichever is less.
  • No charge for teachers and helpers
  • Payment is by invoice

Teachers are welcome to visit the Museum to help plan their visit.
Please tell the attendant the purpose of your visit and the normal
entry fee will be waived.
