The Maritime Museum offers a service to people wanting assistance with research into Tasmanian maritime history. There is a small fee.

To ask for research help:

The research service is operated by volunteers and research fees help us maintain our collections.

Many enquiries directed to the Museum are from people researching their family histories, commonly requesting information on individual mariners or passengers and specific ships.  We are glad to help where we can but assistance can only be given in respect of records contained in the museum’s collections.
