Research

Our library and research volunteers my be able to provide help with research.

Assistance is limited to materials held within our collection, but we may be able to direct you to alternative sources if we cannot help.

A charge is normally made for assisting with research, usually $15.00 to help cover expenses. Supply of copies of documents or images may incur additional charges.

To get started please email researchmmt@maritimetas.org with your contact details and details of your research query.

Many enquiries directed to the Museum are from people researching their family histories, commonly requesting information on individual mariners or passengers and specific ships.  We are glad to help where we can but assistance can only be given in respect of records contained in the museum’s collections.
