Get help with your research.
The Maritime Museum may be able to assist with research into Tasmanian maritime history. A charge is normally made for this service to help us maintain our collections. To open a research account a deposit of $15.00 is payable. The deposit may be refundable if we are unable to help with your query.
To ask for research help and for details of charges:
- click here for a PDF Request for Information Form that you can print off and complete.
- or phone us on (03) 6234 1427 (best time to call is between 0900 and 1200 Monday to Thursday).
Many enquiries directed to the Museum are from people researching their family histories, commonly requesting information on individual mariners or passengers and specific ships. We are glad to help where we can but assistance can only be given in respect of records contained in the museum’s collections.
