Maritime Times of Tasmania No 72 Spring 2020

Issue 72 goes in search of Tasmanian trade with an article inspired by a portrait of the merchant ship Sir John Rae Reid from the collection at Hobart's historic house musem Narryna, the final part of the story of the the trading ketch S.M.H.T, and a look at the traffic of limestone from Southport to the carbide plant at Electrona, The Tasmanian fruit trade also features, with a history of the trade and a curious story of how shiploads of Tasmania fruit ended up dumped into the Suez Canal. There's also a bit about pears and a recipe for Pear & Ginger chutney.
