The ASMA 2019 National Exhibition

The Australian Society of Marine Artists Inc (ASMA) 2019 National Exhibition at the Maritime Museum of Tasmania’s Carnegie Gallery coincides with the 75th Anniversary of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and showcases the best examples of the ASMA Members’ artwork, masterfully illustrating the rich maritime heritage, beautiful coastlines and waterways of our nation.  While emphasising the continuation of and dedication to the Marine Art tradition, the exhibition also highlights the relevance of this specialised artistic genre in the contemporary context. Capturing many subjects with different media and artistic styles, the works which are for sale, depict historical and contemporary subjects.
